Our History
In 1950 Grandpa B (Thomas Bockelman) loaded his whole family into their Ford in Iowa and headed to Oregon to be a photographer. He and Grandma B ran a family business of Mr. B's photography and he also worked as a journalist photographer. Their daughter (Peggy Short-Nottage) grew up flipping pictures in the darkroom at the age of 5 and later on became an amazing pastel artist, retoucher, and on-location photographer along with her sister Jeani Bockelman-McInnis and Rosemary Bockelman. These women in turn taught the next generation the art that they were taught. Teddy (Charissa) Nottage was one of that third generation of photographers and artist born out of this amazing family.
Our Photographers
"Teddy" Charissa Nottage
Teddy is a passionate photographer and the driving force behind Third Generation Photography. Growing up in her mother’s photography business, Heart and Home Gallery, she was immersed in the art from a young age. By just 11, she was already deeply involved in the world of photography, and by 14, she had started winning top awards in competitions. Teddy is committed to honoring her family's legacy by capturing life's precious moments and continuing the tradition that has inspired her for years. She draws not only from her own talent but also from the extensive knowledge and skill passed down through generations. When she’s not behind the camera, Teddy enjoys quality time with her family, indulging in video games, crocheting, and taking care of her two beloved dogs, Booker and Sweet Pea.
